Delivering Electrical Infrastructure Across a Nine-Apartment Development
Cornwall Road | Haringey, London
Project Overview
WH88 delivered the complete electrical installation for a new residential development at Cornwall Road, Haringey, working alongside Aspire Commercial.
The scheme comprised nine apartments arranged across two residential blocks, together with a separate cycle store and associated ancillary areas.
Our package covered the electrical installation from first fix through to final connections, testing and certification, requiring the works to be coordinated across multiple individual dwellings while maintaining a consistent approach to installation, identification and handover throughout the development.
Scope of Works
The WH88 electrical package included:
Complete first and second fix electrical installation
Consumer units and final circuit distribution
General power throughout all nine apartments
Internal lighting installations
Electrical services to kitchens and utility areas
Electrical installation to the separate cycle store
Associated containment and cabling
Final connections and accessories
Electrical testing and commissioning
Certification and handover documentation
Residential Electrical Installation
Each of the nine apartments was delivered as an individual electrical installation, with its own consumer unit, final circuits and accessories coordinated around the respective apartment layout.
WH88 completed the works from first fix through to second fix and final testing, coordinating power and lighting requirements with kitchens, bathrooms, joinery, finishes and other building services as the construction programme progressed.
Delivering the installation across two separate blocks required a consistent approach to circuit arrangements, accessory installation, labelling and certification while accommodating the different stages of progress across the development.
Ancillary & Cycle Store Installation
In addition to the apartment installations, WH88 completed the electrical works associated with the separate cycle store and supporting areas within the wider development.
This formed part of the overall electrical package rather than being treated as a standalone installation, ensuring the ancillary spaces were coordinated and completed alongside the residential accommodation.
Coordination & Delivery
The multi-unit nature of the scheme required the electrical works to be carefully sequenced around the wider construction programme.
WH88 worked alongside Aspire Commercial and the project team to coordinate first fix, second fix and final completion across both residential blocks, allowing individual apartments to progress at different stages while maintaining consistency across the development.
Particular attention was given to ensuring that electrical accessories, final connections and finishes were completed cleanly as the apartments moved towards handover.
Testing & Handover
Each apartment was individually inspected, tested and certified on completion, with the relevant documentation incorporated into the final project handover.
The ancillary electrical installations, including the cycle store, were also tested and commissioned as part of the completed development.
Outcome
The completed Cornwall Road development provided nine new apartments across two residential blocks, supported by a complete electrical installation and dedicated electrical services to the separate cycle store.
The project demonstrates WH88’s ability to deliver multi-unit residential electrical installations from first fix through to final certification, maintaining consistency across multiple dwellings while coordinating with the wider construction programme.
