Bespoke Lighting & Architectural Features
A key element of the project was the integration of bespoke architectural lighting throughout the workplace.
The design incorporated a striking 28-metre curved feature lighting installation within the breakout and townhall space, together with a 12-metre curved lighting feature wrapping around the bespoke reception area.
Projects involving bespoke luminaires often present challenges due to the tight tolerances required between lighting manufacturers, ceiling contractors and joinery packages. Even minor dimensional discrepancies can lead to costly alterations and programme delays.
To mitigate these risks, Warehouse Eighty Eight coordinated the production of full-scale templates which were issued to site prior to construction. This enabled the ceiling rafts and supporting structures to be constructed to the exact dimensions required by the lighting manufacturer, ensuring precise alignment and a seamless finished appearance.
Technology & Connectivity
Alongside the electrical installation, Warehouse Eighty Eight delivered the structured cabling infrastructure throughout the workplace.
The installation utilised Panduit structured cabling systems, providing a high-performance network backbone to support Headland's meeting rooms, AV walls, collaboration spaces and day-to-day business operations.
All cabling was installed, tested and certified in accordance with manufacturer requirements, enabling the client to benefit from a 25-year Panduit system warranty, providing long-term assurance of network performance and reliability.
AV Integration
The workplace featured multiple AV walls and technology-enabled collaboration spaces requiring careful coordination between electrical, data and audiovisual installations.
Early engagement and detailed coordination ensured power, data and AV requirements were integrated seamlessly within the architectural design while maintaining programme objectives.
Outcome
The completed headquarters delivers a modern, technology-driven workplace where architectural lighting, connectivity and collaboration spaces combine to create an engaging environment for employees and visitors alike.
Through proactive coordination, precision planning and high-quality installation standards, Warehouse Eighty Eight successfully delivered both the electrical and structured cabling packages, helping bring the design vision to life.
